The Watauga Humane Society was organized in 1969 as a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to all aspects of animal welfare. The Watauga Humane Society animal shelter is located on the eastern edge of Boone, NC. To control the pet population, we offer low-cost spay/neuter.

To make an appointment for your pet, please call the Watauga Humane Society.
Dogs $55     Female Cats $50     Male Cats $35
Rabies (and all other vaccines) $7 each.
Please note we accept cash only. Financial assistance available.
 
ADOPTION fee is $75 for cats and $95 for dogs with a two-phase screening process for potential adopters.
Vaccinations are $8 ea.

2007 Microchip Clinic Dates: Sept 8, Oct 6, Nov 3 and Dec 1. Fee is $25.
