Talulah, she is 11 and Sasha 9 or 10. The were originally puppy mill dogs that came from a mill here in Boone back around June of 2008. They are very sweet dogs, They are micro chipped, I did take them to my vet, Dr. Newlin the day after I brought them home and they are completely up to date on shots, nails are trimmed, have beds, collars, leashes, etc. They are older so they are a bit frail, they do not have good teeth and potty training is a bit of a challenge. They use the puppy pads a good portion of the time, but the do miss. I have three other pets and my house hold is in a bit of a tissy right now. My one cat who is 13 won't come out of the closet unless I go and get her and bring her downstairs to the food and litter box... My friend has a male Great Pyrenees, neutered, 3 yrs old, seeking a new home. Duke is a beautiful boy and is calm and gentle with his family, strangers and the other family dog, but he is serious about his job protecting his property and has pinned (no blood-shed) several of the neighborhood dogs that have wandered into his yard - including those on leash. The neighbors are complaining and my friend's husband says he must go. They are on small acreage in a neighborhood setting. My friend would love to see him in an indoor/outdoor type home living with a family that can offer fencing and/or a large property for him. He is great with horses and their cat, but has not been tested with other livestock, poultry or strange cats. Duke is in Boone, NC. Hello, I am fostering a 6 month old red heeler/ catahoula mix named Annie here in Boone. She is sweet as pie and up to date on all vaccinations, she is spayed, microchipped, potty trained, crate trained- she just needs to find her forever family! Annie is a 6 month old red heeler/ catahoula mix. She was found as a stray in Spartenburg South Carolina and is curretnly being fostered in Boone, NC until she can be adopted permanently. Little Annie is the sweetest and smartest puppy, she gets along with my two dogs and three cats just fine. She is potty trained, crate trained, and can sit for treats. Ajna is Siberian Husky/Collie mix. Her age is 1 yr. 7mo. I raised her in woodlands up here, so always lots of exercise. She loves hiking and backpacking, and a big water lover. I crate-trained her starting at 7 months as a disciplinary tool. With her mixed blood she does have strong stamina and endurance. Hence, I am being picky about the home she may go into. Lack of proper exercise often leads to acting out behaviors of some chewing. However, she is so very loving and loyal. Yeva, female tri-colored shepherd mix, 50#, approximately 2-3 years old, spayed and UTD on shots. She\'s a sweetie-pie who loves to sleep on the couch and chase a ball. We\'ve been working on her manners and commands - she knows sit and NO! and stay (for the most part) and she\'s crate-trained. I think she can be quite trainable beyond what we\'ve done. She gets along with our other two dogs and walks well on a leash, but we think she\'s more of a people dog and would love to have the attention all to herself. Ginger and Maryann

Looking for a special loving home for Ginger, 3 years old, and Maryann, 4 years old, to live together. Best guess is they are Papillon or long haired Chihuahua (or a mix) weight 4 lbs each. A friend rescued Ginger (mostly white coat) and Maryann and is looking to place both girls together in a new home. They are sweet girls although Ginger nips out of fear if you reach for her. So she needs to rebuild her trust in humankind. Although when getting a bath she was so calm and tolerant. They need a family who has the time to work with them and give them lots of LOVE, TLC and has patience to house train them. They were living outdoors in a kennel prior to their rescue.
