19TH ANNUAL BLOWING ROCK PET SHOWThe Watauga Humane Society will host the 19th Annual Blowing Rock Pet Show slated for September 22 at the Blowing Rock Memorial Park. Lead sponsor this year is Blowing Rock's RE/MAX Village Properties. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with events starting at 11 a.m. All pets are welcome. Registration is free. "Each entry will receive a ribbon and we hope our young pet owners will join us," said Gilda Gordon, vice president of the Watauga Humane Society. She also thanked Susan Gragg and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, founders of the Pet Show. RE/MAX Village Properties will serve as the 2007 lead sponsor. Manager at RE/MAX, Leonard Cosmo, added, "We invite the community and visitors to join the Blowing Rock Pet Show. Cats, dogs, fish, rabbits - and maybe even goats are expected this year." The announcer for events will be Jimmy Crippen of Crippen's Country Inn and an agent at RE/MAX Village Properties.
